• Breaking change — Fitbit Web API dependency removed. All functions that previously required a user_id and token have been refactored to accept pre-downloaded data directly, eliminating the dependency on httr, jsonlite, and base64enc. This change was driven by recurring Fitbit API policy changes (GitHub issues #4, #5, #7, #8, #11).
• Removed functions: base_url_request(), refresh_token_app(), extract_LOG_ID() — these were API-only helpers with no visualization logic.
• Refactored functions (new first parameter accepts pre-downloaded data instead of API credentials):
  • heart_rate_time_series(heart_rate_intraday_list, heart_rate = NULL, ...) — accepts a named list of intraday data.tables
  • fitbit_data_type_by_date(data, type = 'spo2', ...) — accepts the parsed JSON response for that date/type
  • sleep_single_day(sleep_data, date, ...) — accepts the parsed sleep API response
  • sleep_time_series(sleep_data_list, ...) — accepts a named list of per-date sleep responses
  • GPS_TCX_data(tcx_file, time_zone, ...) — accepts a path to an exported .tcx file
• Sample data: The inst/tests_vignette_rds/ folder ships .RDS files (heart_dat.RDS, sleep_ts.RDS, res_tcx.RDS) that illustrate the expected input structure for each refactored function.
• Users who need the previous API-based version can install it with remotes::install_github("mlampros/fitbitViz@v1.0.7") or from the CRAN archive at https://cran.r-project.org/src/contrib/Archive/fitbitViz/fitbitViz_1.0.7.tar.gz.
