Finalized IETF LLC Policies Published

7 Nov 2019

One of our key work items, developing policies for the IETF LLC, is now complete.

The policy development process, as required in our key formation documents, such as RFC 4071bis and the Internet Society-IETF LLC Memorandum of Understanding, has now ended. Community comments began in June 2019 and today we have published the first version of all of those policies. We have also published Conflict of Interest forms for all IETF LLC Board members and the IETF Executive Director.

Now that policies have been released, we will undertake the work to implement them and ensure compliance. In particular, next week we will begin communicating to all individuals that may be considered “Covered Individuals” under any of the policies with additional information and any actions they should take. Thank you to the IETF community for your review and feedback as we developed these policies.

We expect to review these policies on a regular cycle and may revise them if issues are found during implementation and so we welcome ongoing engagement from the community through the GitHub repository and/or email to the discussion list llc-consultation@ietf.org.
